Shen’s Gynaecology was established

By 2021, President Shen Yigong has been engaged in the cause of traditional Chinese medicine for 60 years, and "Shen’s Gynaecology" has gone through more than 600 years. The 60 years of President Shen are the 60 years of inheriting, carrying forward and developing Shen’s Gynaecology and making painstaking contributions to human health.

For 600 years, the "Shen’s Gynaecology" is on the road, and Dr. Shen Yigong, the 19th generation of Shen’s Gynaecology, is on the road.

1、 Practise medicine in order to help the people

Scenario 1:

One evening in the severe winter of 1984, on the expressway in the southwest suburb of Beijing, Dr. Shen Yigong sat in the car, holding a medical record and meditating in his seat. Such a scene has appeared many times in more than a month.

The medical record was about an octogenarian patient coming from Huashi Street of Beijing. He has been seriously ill in bed for many years. He couldn’t make progress in seeking medical treatment. It seemed that he couldn’t survive the Spring Festival. His family were very anxious. After much inquiry, the family members knew that Shen’s Gynaecology specialized in difficult and miscellaneous diseases, and that the direct descendant even practiced medicine in Beijing. Therefore, they found the 19th generation descendant of Shen’s Gynaecology, Dr. Shen Yigong, who was then the director of the traditional Chinese medicine department of Beijing Yanhua hospital.

Shen’s Gynaecology is broad and profound. According to the condition of the old patient, Dr. Shen Yigong has made many diagnosis and treatment, medication, adjustment and cycle... Near the Spring Festival, the old man who has been in bed for many years could go out and walk. He also ate more than ten dumplings on New Year's Eve. Originally, the family members who thought the old man couldn’t pass the new year were very happy and realized their wishes.

Scenario 2:

Love the patient, always.

In Beizhuang, Yanshan, a woman got pregnant several times and miscarried. When the family was extremely distressed, a friend said that doctor Shen of the department of traditional Chinese medicine of Yanhua staff hospital was an expert in this field.

After Dr. Shen Yigong's conditioning and medication, she was finally pregnant. In order to minimize the risk of miscarriage, the family asked Dr. Shen whether he could come home to see the patient every time. Originally, they just tried to ask, but Dr.Shen accepted it.. Every time he takes a ride to recuperate the pregnant woman after work.

After the pregnant woman gave birth as expected, her family and neighbors were all moved by Dr. Shen Yigong's great love.

Dr. Shen Yigong often returns home after eight hours work and starts the second outpatient service. As long as patients come to the door on holidays, day and night, he never disappoints. This love warms countless patients.

Scenario 3:

Dean Shen Yigong is receiving patients

One morning more than ten years ago, on the expressway in Jingshi, an old patient was driving to the capital airport. She was going to fly to Shanghai to find Dr. Shen Yigong for a follow-up visit once a month.

The patient has suffered from intractable hypertension for many years, and taking six antihypertensive drugs successively is of no help. After that, under the diagnosis and treatment of Dr. Shen Yigong, the effect was obvious in two years, and the body recovered in an all-round way. As Dr. Shen retired and returned to Shanghai, the old woman began to run once a month.

Scenario 4:

At the beginning of 2008, due to repeated invitations from the Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai University of traditional Chinese medicine, his alma mater, Dr. Shen Yigong left Yanshan, Beijing, where he had lived and worked for nearly 40 years, retired and returned to his hometown in Shanghai.

When the news came out, the people in Fangshan area were surprised,regretted.

Scenario 5:

In 2018, Beijing Yanhua hospital responded to the call of the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine, encouraged the construction of a studio for famous old traditional Chinese medicine, and sincerely invited President Shen to return to Yanshan to prepare for the establishment of "Shen’s Gynaecology academic genre inheritance studio" for him.

Therefore, Dr. Shen Yigong returned to Yanshan and took Shen Jie, the 20th generation descendant of make contribution to, together to embark on a new journey for the prosperity of traditional Chinese medicine in Yanfang area of Beijing. He goes back and forth from Shanghai to Yanshan every month to spare time for the healthy development of the people through various forms such as traditional Chinese medicine clinics, health lectures and training of young doctors.

In 2021, the elderly doctor Shen Yigong also gave lectures in person in the "study class of inheriting basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine in Shen’s Gynaecology" held by Yanhua hospital.

When he returned to Yanshan again, he said, "came back to my second hometown again. I will do my best."

2、 Learning and inheritance on the road

Scenario 6:

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty (1368), Zhu Danxi, a famous doctor, died. Before his death, he said to his son sincerely: learning medicine is a very hard thing. You must be careful and take it seriously（ Original words: medicine is also difficult, you should know it!)

At Zhu Danxi's funeral, a young man was enlightened and made a major choice in life: giving up the imperial examination, learning from the elderly, taking the road to medicine, and starting an extremely difficult career as a doctor.

Ten years later, he was officially listed to practice medicine, and a new school of women's traditional Chinese medicine began to appear in Dongyang, Zhejiang Province.

The young man's name was Shen Shu (pronounced "Shu"), and the school of traditional Chinese medicine founded by him was called "Shen’s Gynaecology" by later generations.

Scenario 7:

On the eve of the college entrance examination in 1962, Shen Yigong, a senior high school student in Shanghai, gave up the first ten aspirations, chose Shanghai University of traditional Chinese medicine (formerly known as Shanghai College of traditional Chinese medicine) and was admitted. From then on, he embarked on the road of practicing medicine for 60 years.

Dr. Shen Yigong's inheritance and development of Shen’s Gynaecology has gradually spread the reputation of Dr. Shen Yigong's medical skills to Eastern Hebei, northern Hebei, Sichuan, Shanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang, and northeast China. Every year, patients from all over the country come to Dr. Shen Yigong for treatment.

Shen Yi Gong, born in 1944 in Shanghai, graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, chief physician and professor. He has served as director of Beijing Diabetes Prevention Association, Professor of Hebei North University and standing committee member of the Heart Association of Chinese Medicine Association. He has been engaged in clinical diagnosis and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for a long time. In 1986, Dr. Shen Yigong, who had been in the clinic of traditional Chinese medicine, was promoted to the post of hospital management and successively served as the assistant to the president, vice president, president and party secretary of Yanhua hospital for nearly 20 years (he served as the president of Beijing Yanhua hospital from 1989 to 1999 and the secretary of the Party committee of the hospital from 1999 to retirement). During this period, in addition to performing comprehensive management of the hospital, He also devoted himself to studying the major topics of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, insisted on going out of the clinic and ward rounds of traditional Chinese medicine every week, and insisted on free clinics in spare time and holidays, which was widely welcomed by patients.

Shen’s Gynaecology: founded by a generation of famous doctor Shen Shu in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties, it is widely known as "Shanghai Dachang medlar hedge Shen’s Gynaecology".

Shen’s Gynaecology originated in Dongyang, became famous in Shanghai, benefited the motherland and became famous in the world. It has been listed as the first batch of construction projects of the National Academic School of traditional Chinese medicine,the project of the Beijing urban intangible cultural heritage list and the Beijing municipal intangible cultural heritage list.

In more than 600 years of clinical practice, Shen’s Gynaecology has continuously incorporated and formed the systematic theory of "theory, method, prescription and medicine" for the diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases, and gradually developed into a general diagnosis and treatment traditional Chinese medicine "focusing on women and internal medicine, involving surgery, pediatric, tumor, anorectal, dermatology, orthopedics and facial features".
